* Remove debugging printf

* Refine locking. Add call TODO. Use -1 for running thread id.

* Fix TestAttachStopOnEntry: it can terminate on halt

* Respond to review comments

* Recover panics in async requests handling

* defer releasing asyncSetupDone, so it happens on panic
