- Supports changing the displayed keyboard using the `inputmode` property
- Accepts a `length` property to control the number of input boxes
- Accepts the following properties to change the design: `fill`, `shape`, `size`, `color`
- Accepts a `separators` property to show a separator between 1 or more input boxes
- Supports the `disabled`, `readonly` and invalid states
- Supports limiting the accepted input via the `pattern` property
- Emits the following events: `ionInput`, `ionChange`, `ionComplete`, `ionBlur`, `ionFocus`
- Exposes the following method: `setFocus`

5b686efc10 feat: add experimental transition focus manager (#29400)
Issue number: resolves #23650

---------

<!-- Please do not submit updates to dependencies unless it fixes an
issue. -->

<!-- Please try to limit your pull request to one type (bugfix, feature,
etc). Submit multiple pull requests if needed. -->

## What is the current behavior?
<!-- Please describe the current behavior that you are modifying. -->

In traditional native applications, navigation will inform screen
readers that the view has changed. This allows screen readers to focus
the correct view. In a single page app on the web, this same concept
does not exist. As a result, transitioning from Page A to Page B results
in screen reader focus remaining on Page A. This means that users who
rely on screen readers are not informed of view changes.

Currently, developers are responsible for implementing this on their
own.

## What is the new behavior?
<!-- Please describe the behavior or changes that are being added by
this PR. -->

- Introduces a new focus manager priority global config. When defined,
the app developer can specify which area of the view focus should be
moved to when the transition ends. The developer does this by specifying
areas in order of priority which allows for fallbacks in the event that
a particular UI component (such as a header) does not exist on a view.

There is some risk here by managing focus for the application. As a
result, this feature is considered experimental and disabled by default.
The team should collect feedback based on usage and enable it by default
when they feel this feature is stable enough.

## Does this introduce a breaking change?

- [ ] Yes
- [x] No

<!--
 If this introduces a breaking change:
1. Describe the impact and migration path for existing applications
below.
 2. Update the BREAKING.md file with the breaking change.
3. Add "BREAKING CHANGE: [...]" to the commit description when merging.

<!-- Any other information that is important to this PR such as
screenshots of how the component looks before and after the change. -->

⚠️ Due to the `tsconfig.json` change, reviewers should restart the
Stencil dev server when checking out these changes locally.

Reviewers: Please test both of the test template files on physical iOS
and Android device with VoiceOver and TalkBack enabled, respectively.

New tools to generate assertions:

- "Assert visibility" tool generates
[expect(locator).toBeVisible()](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-locatorassertions#locator-assertions-to-be-visible).
- "Assert value" tool generates
[expect(locator).toHaveValue(value)](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-locatorassertions#locator-assertions-to-have-value).
- "Assert text" tool generates
[expect(locator).toContainText(text)](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-locatorassertions#locator-assertions-to-contain-text).

Here is an example of a generated test with assertions:

```js
import { test, expect } from '@playwright/test';
test('test', async ({ page }) => {
 await page.goto('https://playwright.dev/');
 await page.getByRole('link', { name: 'Get started' }).click();
 await expect(page.getByLabel('Breadcrumbs').getByRole('list')).toContainText('Installation');
 await expect(page.getByLabel('Search')).toBeVisible();
 await page.getByLabel('Search').click();
 await page.getByPlaceholder('Search docs').fill('locator');
 await expect(page.getByPlaceholder('Search docs')).toHaveValue('locator');
});
```

#### New APIs

- Option `reason` in
[page.close()](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-page#page-close),
[browserContext.close()](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-browsercontext#browser-context-close)
and
[browser.close()](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-browser#browser-close).
Close reason is reported for all operations interrupted by the closure.
- Option `firefoxUserPrefs` in
[browserType.launchPersistentContext(userDataDir)](https://playwright.dev/docs/api/class-browsertype#browser-type-launch-persistent-context).

#### Other Changes

4f1b4cdc29 chore(core): type checking for unit tests (#28529)
Issue number: N/A

---------

<!-- Please do not submit updates to dependencies unless it fixes an
issue. -->

<!-- Please try to limit your pull request to one type (bugfix, feature,
etc). Submit multiple pull requests if needed. -->

## What is the current behavior?
<!-- Please describe the current behavior that you are modifying. -->

Type checking inside of the Stencil unit tests have been disabled for a
long time. This has resulted in a difficult developer experience and
numerous issues (both types and implementation) within our unit tests.

## What is the new behavior?
<!-- Please describe the behavior or changes that are being added by
this PR. -->

- Type checking is now enabled for all Stencil unit tests
- Tests have been updated to resolve type errors and implementation
errors
- Many `as any` casts were introduced, as many legacy tests test invalid
configurations of functions that require it (for example passing
`undefined` to an argument that cannot be `undefined`).

## Does this introduce a breaking change?

- [ ] Yes
- [x] No

<!-- If this introduces a breaking change, please describe the impact
and migration path for existing applications below. -->

## Other information

<!-- Any other information that is important to this PR such as
screenshots of how the component looks before and after the change. -->

To test this PR you can checkout the branch locally. Install
dependencies in the `/core` directory to make sure you are on at least
`@stencil/core@4.7.2`.

Opening either a `.spec.ts` or `.spec.tsx` file, validate that your IDE
detects types and can provide auto completions for jest global types.

If you desire, you can provide an invalid type and try building the
project - you will observe the build will fail due to the invalid type.
