c81e887979 s390: Fix gdb.base/all-architectures.exp with --enable-targets=all 
With 7042632bf79 (s390: Hook s390 into OSABI mechanism) assigning a
default target description was moved from s390_gdbarch_init to
s390_linux_init_abi_*.  This causes problems when GDB is built with
--enable-targets=all and the user sets an unsupported OSABI, e.g. "set
osabi AIX".  In this case there is no valid tdesc, and GDB crashes with an
internal error.  Fix this by reverting parts of 7042632bf79.

	"features/s390x-linux64.c".

14c41f479f s390: Clean up s390-linux-tdep.c 
After moving big parts of the code to the new s390-tdep.c file
s390-linux-tdep.c now contains many includes it doesn't need anymore.
Furthermore, there are some functions lacking a description.

Fix both and order the remaining includes alphabetically.

Record-replay is independent of the OS.  So it can be moved to the common
s390 code without problem.

d6e5894564 s390: Split up s390-linux-tdep.c into two files 
Currently all target dependent code for s390 is in one file,
s390-linux-tdep.c.  This includes code general for the architecture as
well as code specific for uses in GNU/Linux (user space).  Up until now
this was OK as GNU/Linux was the only supported OS.  In preparation to
support the new Linux kernel 'OS' split up the existing s390 code into a
general s390-tdep and a GNU/Linux-specific s390-linux-tdep.

Note: The record-replay feature will be moved in a separate patch.  This
is simply due to the fact that the combined patch would be too large for
the mailing list.  This requires setting the process_record hook during
OSABI init to keep the code bisectable.  The patch moving record-replay
cleans up this hack.

9c0b896ee1 s390: gdbarch_tdep add hook for syscall record 
Most parts of s390_process_record are common for the architecture.  Only
the system call handling differs between the OSes.  In order to be able to
move s390_process_record to a common code file add a hook to record
syscalls to gdbarch_tdep.  So every OS can implement their own handling.

7042632bf7 s390: Hook s390 into OSABI mechanism 
Do what the title says and distinguish between 31- and 64-bit systems.
The goal is to init the OSABI as late as possible in gdbarch_init so the
OSABI has the chance to overwrite the defaults.

There are two pitfalls to be aware of:

First, the dwarf2 unwinder must be appended before the OSABI is
initialized.  Otherwise the OS could add a default unwinder which always
takes control before the dwarf unwinder even gets a chance.

Second, tdesc_use_registers has to be handled with extra care.  It sets
several gdbarch hooks, especially gdbarch_register_name, which has to be
overwritten again after the call.  Furthermore it deletes the tdesc_data
without checking.  Therefore there must not be a call to
tdesc_data_cleanup afterwards or GDB will crash with a double free.

650f5e1370 s390: if -> gdb_assert for tdesc_has_registers check 
Before doing the tdesc validation there is a check whether the tdesc has
registers or not.  This check is not only unnecessary but wrong.

First the check is done after a default tdesc is assigned if the original
tdesc has no registers.  These default tdescs always have registers so the
check alway returns true.

Second if the default tdesc would not have registers the check only skips
the tdesc validation instead of returning an error.  This would trigger a
gdb_assert later on in tdesc_use_registers.

095085d847 s390: gdbarch_tdep add field tdesc 
Add a field for the target description to gdbarch_tdep.  This will later be
needed to pass the 'correct' target description from osabi_init to
gdbarch_init.  Unfortunately this cannot be done using gdbarch_info as it
is only passed by copy, not reference.

Currently the gdbarch_tdep.have_* flags are a mix of int and bool.  Clean
this up by making them all bool.

21f6f5ffc6 s390: Allocate gdbarch & tdep at start of gdbarch_init 
Moving the allocation of gdbarch_tdep to the start of s390_gdbarch_init
allows us to use its fields for tracking the different features instead of
using separate variables.  To make the code a little nicer move the actual
allocation and initialization to a separate function.  Also move the
allocation of gdbarch to keep the two together.

0eb97953ad s390: Remove duplicate checks for cached gdbarch at init 
When initializing the gdbarch there is a check whether an appropriate
gdbarch already exists in the gdbarch_list.  Failing of some of the checks
would lead to a different target description.  However
gdbarch_list_lookup_by_info already checks for

	if (info->target_desc != arches->gdbarch->target_desc)
	  continue;

Remove these duplicate checks.

03f50fc878 Replace regcache_raw_read with regcache->raw_read 
The patch later in this series will move regcache's raw_read and
cooked_read methods to a new class regcache_read, and regcache is
dervied from it.  Also pass regcache_read instead of regcache to gdbarch
methods pseudo_register_read and pseudo_register_read_value.  In order
to prepare for this change, this patch changes regcache_raw_read to
regcache->raw_read.  On the other hand, since we are in C++, I prefer
using class method (regcache->raw_read).

ac7936dfd0 s/get_regcache_arch (regcache)/regcache->arch ()/g 
This patches removes get_regcache_arch, and use regache->arch () instead.
The motivation of this change is that I am going to move some basic stuff
into a base class of regcache.  I don't need to update "client" code
regcache->arch ().  On the other hand, this patch shortens the code a
little bit.

cfba98720f Create a displaced_step_closure class hierarchy 
displaced_step_closure is a type defined in multiple -tdep.c files.
Trying to xfree it from the common code (infrun.c) is a problem when we
try to poison xfree for non-POD types.  Because there can be multiple of
these types in the same build, this patch makes a hierarchy of classes
with a virtual destructor.  When the common code deletes the object
through a displaced_step_closure pointer, it will invoke the right
destructor.

The amd64 used a last-member array with a variable size.  That doesn't
work with new, so I changed it for an std::vector.  Other architectures
which used a simple byte buffer as a closure now use a shared
buf_displaced_step_closure, a closure type that only contains a
gdb::byte_vector.

Reg-tested on the buildbot.

1841ee5d03 Clean up includes of doublest.h and floatformat.h 
As a first small step to getting rid of doublest.h, this patch removes the
include of "floatformat.h" in "doublest.h".  This is actually not needed
for the file itself.  A few source files now need to include "floatformat.h"
directly, since they got it indirectly via "doublest.h" and still need it.

In reviewing which files need it, I found a number of files that include
"floatformat.h" directly without actually needing it at all.  Similarly,
a number of files include "doublest.h" without needing it.  I've also
removed those unnecessary include statements.

6d45d4b42b gdbarch: Remove displaced_step_free_closure 
The displaced_step_free_closure gdbarch hook allows architectures to
free data they might have allocated to complete a displaced step.
However, all architectures using that hook use the
simple_displaced_step_free_closure provided in arch-utils.{c,h}, which
does a simple xfree.  We can remove it and do an xfree directly instead
of calling the hook.

39503f8242 Delegate opcodes to select disassembler in GDB 
This patch changes GDB to use disassembler selected by opcodes in
default, so that we don't have to duplicate the selection logic again
in GDB side.  For example, gdb/score-tdep.c has

aa0061181a Convert lvalue reference type check to general reference type check 
In almost all contexts (except for overload resolution rules and expression
semantics), lvalue and rvalue references are equivalent. That means that in all
but these cases we can replace a TYPE_CODE_REF check to a TYPE_IS_REFERENCE
check and, for switch statements, add a case label for a rvalue reference type
next to a case label for an lvalue reference type. This patch does exactly
that.

dcb84eda0c s390: Fix displaced-stepping certain relative branch insns 
On s390x targets GDB can not handle displaced stepping correctly for some
relative branch instructions, such as cij (compare immediate and branch
relative).  When setting a breakpoint on such an instruction and
single-stepping over it, the branch is never taken.  This is because the
check in s390_displaced_step_fixup for relative branch instructions is
incomplete.

Instead of completing the list of relative branch instructions to check
against, this patch just treats relative branches and non-branching
instructions in the same way and adjusts the PC with the negated
displacement in both cases.

04180708ef Remove GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION and SET_GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION 
Both of them are used in conversion.  We can remove them since the
conversion is done.

There are many architectures only have one breakpoint instruction,
so their gdbarch methods breakpoint_kind_from_pc and
sw_breakpoint_from_kind look very similar.  Instead of macro, we
use template "template <size_t, const gdb_byte *> struct bp_manipulation"
for these architectures.  In order to use template, I also change
breakpoint instruction of type "static const gdb_byte[]" to
"constexpr gdb_byte[]", and rename them to ARCH_break_insn.

598cc9dc84 GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION and SET_GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION 
Many archs have only one kind of breakpoint, so their breakpoint_from_pc
implementations are quite similar.  This patch uses macro
GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION and SET_GDBARCH_BREAKPOINT_MANIPULATION
for breakpoint_from_pc, so that we can easily switch from
breakpoint_from_pc to breakpoint_kind_from_pc and sw_breakpoint_from_kind
later.

bc0e3f49c8 S390: Recognize special jumps in prologue parser 
Functions compiled with the gcc option `-mhotpatch' may start with a
branch-never BRCL instruction as a 6-byte NOP.  And functions compiled
with `-mstack-size' contain a BRC instruction in their prologue that is
actually a conditional trap.  Both of these special jumps cause the
prologue parser to stop and yield bad unwinding results.

This change makes the prologue analyzer recognize such special jumps and
ignore them.

6d53bec88f S390: Add use of unavailable-stack frame ID 
When determining the frame ID of an inline frame, GDB currently asserts
that a valid ID of the underlying real frame is found, and that it does
not match outer_frame_id.  From inline_frame_this_id():

  /* For now, require we don't match outer_frame_id either (see
     comment above).  */
  gdb_assert (!frame_id_eq (*this_id, outer_frame_id));

However, this assertion may fail when the real frame's unwinder can not
determine the frame ID.  This happened on an s390x target with a binary
that lacked call frame information and also confused the prologue
analyzer, because then s390_frame_this_id() left the frame ID at its
default.

To fix this, this change enhances s390_frame_this_id such that an
unavailable-stack frame ID is built if no frame base can be determined
but the function address is available.

gdb/ChangeLog:

	* s390-linux-tdep.c (s390_prologue_frame_unwind_cache): Store
	frame func's PC in info->func before any other failure can occur.
	(s390_frame_this_id): Use frame_id_build_unavailable_stack if
	info->func has been filled out.

224c3ddb89 Add casts to memory allocation related calls 
Most allocation functions (if not all) return a void* pointing to the
allocated memory.  In C++, we need to add an explicit cast when
assigning the result to a pointer to another type (which is the case
more often than not).

The content of this patch is taken from Pedro's branch, from commit
"(mostly) auto-generated patch to insert casts needed for C++".  I
validated that the changes make sense and manually reflowed the code to
make it respect the coding style.  I also found multiple places where I
could use XNEW/XNEWVEC/XRESIZEVEC/etc.

Thanks a lot to whoever did that automated script to insert casts, doing
it completely by hand would have taken a ridiculous amount of time.

Only files built on x86 with --enable-targets=all are modified.  This
means that all other -nat.c files are untouched and will have to be
dealt with later by using appropiate compilers.  Or maybe we can try to
build them with a regular g++ just to know where to add casts, I don't
know.

I built-tested this with --enable-targets=all and reg-tested.

5ac213430b S/390: displaced stepping and PC-relative RIL-b/RIL-c instructions 
This adds displaced stepping support for the General-Instruction
Extension Facility instructions, which have a PC-relative displacement
(RIL-b/RIL-c).  We already handle RIL branches, but not others.

Currently, displaced stepping a breakpoint put on any of these
instructions results in the inferior crashing when or after the
instruction is executed out-of-line in the scratch pad.

This patch takes the easy route of patching the displacement in the
copy of the instruction in the scratch pad.  As the displacement is a
signed 32-bit field, it's possible that the stratch pad ends too far
that the needed displacement doesn't fit in the adjusted instruction,
as e.g., if stepping over a breakpoint in a shared library (the
scratch pad is around the main program's entry point).  That case is
detected and GDB falls back to stepping over the breakpoint in-line
(which involves pausing all threads momentarily).

(We could probably do something smarter, but I don't plan on doing it
myself.  This was already sufficient to get "maint set target-non-stop
on" working regression free on S/390.)

Tested on S/390 RHEL 7.1, where it fixes a few hundred FAILs when
testing with displaced stepping force-enabled, with the end result
being no regressions compared to a test run that doesn't force
displaced stepping.  Fixes the non-stop tests compared to mainline
too; most are crashing due to this on the machine I run tests on.

f486487f55 Mostly trivial enum fixes 
This is a patch I extracted from Pedro's C++ branch.  It contains the
most trivial enum fixes, where an integer type/value was used instead
of the appropriate enum type/value.  It fixes many C++ errors, since
in C++ you can't mix integers and enums implicitely.

Regardless of the C++ conversion, I think this is a good cleanup to make
use of the appropriate enum types.

Regression-tested on native x86_64.
