Fix scripted probe breakpoints
...
The documentation for make-breakpoint from the Guile API and the `spec'
variant of the gdb.Breakpoint constructor from the Python API state that
the format acceptable for location strings is the same as that accepted
by the break command. However, using the -probe qualifier at the
beginning of the location string causes a GDB internal error as it
attempts to decode a probe location in the wrong code path. Without this
functionality, there doesn't appear to be another way to set breakpoints
on probe points from Python or Guile scripts.
This patch introduces a new helper function that returns a
breakpoint_ops instance appropriate for a parsed location and updates
the Guile and Python bindings to use said function, rather than the
current hard-coded use of bkpt_breakpoint_ops. Since this logic is
duplicated in the handling of the `break' and `trace' commands, those
are also updated to call into the new helper function.

"set print raw frame-arguments" -> "set print raw-frame-arguments"
...
A following patch will introduce options for the "backtrace" command,
based on some "set print" and "set backtrace" settings. There's one
setting in particular that is a bit annoying if we want to describe
the backtrace options and the settings commands using the same data
structures:
"set print raw frame-arguments"
The problem is that space between "raw" and "frame-arguments".
Calling the option
"bt -raw frame-arguments"
would be odd. So I'm calling the option
"bt -raw-frame-arguments"
instead.
And for consistency, this patch renames the set/show commands to:
"set print raw-frame-arguments"
"show print raw-frame-arguments"
I.e., dash instead of space. The old commands are left in place, but
marked deprecated.
We need to adjust a couple testcases, because the relevant tests use
gdb_test_no_output and the old commands are no longer silent:
(gdb) set print raw frame-arguments on
Warning: command 'set print raw frame-arguments' is deprecated.
Use 'set print raw-frame-arguments'.
gdb/ChangeLog:
2019-06-13 Pedro Alves <palves@redhat.com>
* NEWS (Changed commands): Mention set/show print raw-frame-arguments,
and that "set/show print raw frame-arguments" are now deprecated.

raw-frame-arguments", and deprecate "set/show print raw
frame-arguments".
* valprint.c (_initialize_valprint): Deprecate "set/show print
raw".

Update copyright year range in all GDB files.
...
This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py
script.
Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid
copyright header
(gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc).
As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit
leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header
was sent to gcc-patches first.

Fix scm-ports.exp regression
...
In https://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2017-12/msg00215.html , Jan
pointed out that the scalar printing patches caused a regression in
scm-ports.exp on x86.
What happens is that on x86, this:
set sp_reg [get_integer_valueof "\$sp" 0]
... ends up setting sp_reg to a negative value, because
get_integer_valueof uses "print/d":
print /d $sp
$1 = -11496
Then later the test suite does:
gdb_test "guile (print (seek rw-mem-port (value->integer sp-reg) SEEK_SET))" \
"= $sp_reg" \
"seek to \$sp"
... expecting this value to be identical to the saved $sp_reg value.
However it gets:
guile (print (seek rw-mem-port (value->integer sp-reg) SEEK_SET))
= 4294955800
"print" is just a wrapper for guile's format:
gdb_test_no_output "guile (define (print x) (format #t \"= ~A\" x) (newline))"
The seek function returns a scm_t_off, the printing of which is
handled by guile, not by gdb.
Tested on x86-64 Fedora 26 using an ordinary build and also a -m32
build.
2018-01-15 Tom Tromey <tom@tromey.com>
* gdb.guile/scm-ports.exp (test_mem_port_rw): Use get_valueof to
compute sp_reg.

tedious and large patch below addresses, hopefully, most of the leftover cases.

Fixup testcases outputting own name as a test name and standardize failed compilation messages
...
Changes in v3:
- Adjusted some testcases where the message "failed to compile" was not unique.
Changes in v2:
- Addressed comments from reviewers.
- Fixed spurious whitespaces.
- Changed compilation failure messages that included source/binary paths to
ones that are short and deterministic.
---
Another bit of cleanup to the testsuite. We have a number of tests that are
not honoring the rule of not outputting their own name as a test name.
I fixed up all the offenders i could find with the following regular
expression:
"(xfail|kfail|kpass|fail|pass|unsupported|untested) ([A-Za-z0-9]+|\\\$(.)*testfile(.)*)\.exp$"

Fix test names starting with uppercase output by basic functions
...
The following patch is based on the previous patch i sent and handles cases of
test names that start with an uppercase letter. Test names should start with
lowercase unless it starts with the name of a technology, architecture, ISA
etc.
This first patch addresses cases of test names output explicitly via xfail,
kfail, kpass, fail, pass, unsupported, untested and also names set with the
pattern "set test" and "set testname".

Always organize test artifacts in a directory hierarchy
...
When running tests in parallel, each test puts its generated files in a
different directory, under "outputs". I think it would be nice if it
was always the case, as it would isolate the test cases a bit more. An
artifact created by a test wouldn't get overwritten by another test.
Also, it makes it easier to clean up. A lot of executables are left all
over the place because their names do not appear in gdb.*/Makefile. If
everything is in "outputs", then we just have to delete that directory
(which we already do).
At the same time it makes the gdb.foo directories and their Makefiles
useless in the build directory, since they are pretty much only used for
cleaning.
What do you think?

Fix parallel testing issues in gdb.guile tests

Some gdb.guile tests such as scm-error.exp copies .scm file to
${subdir}/, how ${subdir} doesn't exist in parallel testing

$ make -j3 check TESTS='gdb.guile/scm-section-script.exp gdb.guile/scm-error.exp gdb.guile/scm-frame-args.exp'
ERROR: remote_download to host of ../../../../git/gdb/testsuite/gdb.guile/scm-section-script.scm to gdb.guile/t-scm-section-script.scm: cp: cannot create regular file 'gdb.guile/t-scm-section-script.scm': No such file or directory

This patch is to remove the third argument of gdb_remote_download, so
that gdb_remote_download can return the correct location.
Further, these tests only copy .scm files to a different name. From what
I can tell from the comments, looks we do this to avoid clobbering file
in in-tree build. However, if source and dest of copy are the same, the
operation is no-op. So it makes few sense to copy .scm files to a
different names. I tried in-tree build/test with this patch, test
result isn't changed.

Skip testing argv[0] on target argv[0] isn't available

print argv[0]^M

print argv[0]^M
$1 = 0x1f78 "/dev/null"^M
(gdb) FAIL: gdb.base/argv0-symlink.exp: kept directory symbolic link name
My first thought is to check [target_info exists noargs], and skip the
test if it returns true. However, noargs is set in gdbserver board
files, so argv0-symlink.exp will be skipped on gdbserver board file.
The change is too aggressive.
When the program is running with gdbserver, argv[1] to argv[N] aren't
available, but argv[0] is. Fortunately, argv0-symlink.exp only
requires argv[0]. argv0-symlink.exp can be run with gdbserver board
file, as what we do now.
What we need to check is whether argv[0] is available, so I add a new
proc gdb_has_argv0 to do so by starting a program, and check
argc/argv[0] to see whether argv[0] is available.
Dan fixed the similar problem by checking noargs, which is too strong.
https://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2010-02/msg00398.html as a
result, the test is skipped on gdbserver. This patch fixed it too.

Fix mingw32 failures due to incorrect directory separator in pattern
...
Some testcases, mostly gdb.reverse ones, assume the presence of a
'/' directory separator before the source file name. This is
incorrect for mingw32 hosts, generating false failures for those
tests.
I attempted to catch most of the occurrences of the pattern
".*/$srcfile" and replaced them with ".*$srcfile". The latter
is used elsewhere in the testsuite. The resulting patch is attached.
I also see other occurrences of the same assumption throughout the
testsuite, but usually they are arguments for function calls and i
seem to recall either the test harness or GDB deals with those
paths properly.

Remove duplicated code on checking address 0x0 is accessiable
...
I find some gdb.python tests fail on arm-none-eabi target, because the
tests assume that memory on address 0x is inaccessible. Some tests
(in gdb.base) are aware of this, so do a "x 0" check first. However,
the code is copy-n-paste.
This patch is to move the "x 0" check to a procedure in lib/gdb.exp,
and get needed tests call it. The original code matches pattern
"0x0:\[ \t\]*Error accessing memory address 0x0\r\n$gdb_prompt $", but
