* config/default.exp: Create tmpdir/gas subdirectory, add a
symlink to as-new, and set gcc_gas_flag variable.
* lib/ld-lib.exp (default_ld_compile): If the compiler appears to
be gcc, use gcc_gas_flag when compiling.
